New Stuff

Well the kids are out of school, except for Alex who is doing summer school for her English III course. $250.00 for 18 half days of school. Ridiculous. The little ones enjoy the summer though. By next week I will be ready for them to go back. LOL.

I have been having some getting dizzy and passing out issues, so I am having some tests done on my heart and if they come back normal, I will be getting brain scan. Apparently, you don't pass out for no reason. I had an ultrasound on my carotid arteries in my neck and on June 11th I will go see a cardiologist. I will keep ya posted on what I find out. I'm a little concerned to say the least. Actually a lot scared if I'm being honest. I am always tired now it seems and I'm not even doing much.

Thinking of having a yard sale this weekend. I cleaned out my garage and attic and came to the conclusion that I have a lot of crap. LOL I mean I have 4 crock pots. Who need 4 crock pots. Good grief.

The other day I took the kids to the Purple Park. They have this water feature that sprays out water from several things. The kids had a great time. We were the only ones there at the time so they got it all to themselves.

Well that's all I have for now. Must go get Eric up and going for work. Will try to post again soon.

Slacker

Ok, I'm sorry I have been slacking on the posting. The end of the school year is always chaotic. Miss Jordan is going to be in a play Thursday night. Super exciting. Something about fish I assume since is going to be a starfish. Oh and I found out she kissed a boy named Jareth at recess. And so it starts already. *sigh* Eric told her she isn't allowed to kiss boys and her reply was, "Only you Daddy?"

Emma is in the choir and has the opportunity to sing on the 4th of July with James Burton (Elvis' guitar player). She is very excited about that. She is definitely ready for school to be out for the summer. She is not really looking forward to 4th grade, although I think she is scared it will be too hard. She doesn't realize just how smart she is and I don't understand that.

Alexandra is doing well. They have a GEE test which is a general exit exam for high schoolers given in LA. Her counselor told us she probably would not pass this years since she was only here a month before it was given and they would let her take it again during the summer. Well that girl passed it anyway. GO ALEX!! Also we were informed that she is no longer eligible for the special ed program for her ADHD. She is testing too high. Which I have always thought that special ed was a crutch for her not to try. She scored the highest grade in the class on a Spanish test a couple of weeks ago. She is going to go to her moms for the month of July and I think the girls could use the separation honestly. While she is gone I am gonna let Emma stay in her room.

I am hoping to make a trip to Missouri to see my mom this summer. I really miss her. There are so many times I feel alone here. I love it in Shreveport, really I do. I just miss having her close. None of my close friends live near here and I miss them. I have a couple of friends here but the work so we don't get to hang out much. I have to find something to do about that.....

Can't It Just Be Easy For A While?

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been otherwise occupied. I have had a lot on my mind lately. We are currently doing the paycheck to paycheck thing which doesn't seem to last to the next paycheck. I have entertained the thought of going back to work, but I am struggling with making it work to be at a job and everywhere else I need to be at the same time. Plus I would have to pay for childcare while I am work. It doesn't seem to be feasible right now. Maybe after the summer is over. I don't know. Any thoughts? I know I am tired of feeling guilty for every dime I spend even when it is only on groceries and gas. Its not like I go shopping for anything else. I know Eric is working his butt off and can't do any more than he is right now. So I have to do something, I just don't know what.

All I do know is that I am praying and hoping for a reprieve and its not coming any time soon. What's up with that? My stress level can not go any higher with out it doing some damage. It's just not fair to have to keep fighting to stay a float. I mean I know life is not fair and all that crap but really? Can't a person get a break once in a while?

Sick Kiddos

Well Jordan stayed home from school yesterday because she had a cough and a slight fever. So, needless to say, I heard, "Hey Mama..." ALL DAY LONG. So then this morning when she was getting ready to go to school, I told her she was gonna have to skip Running Club today because she still had a cough. Major devastation ensued. It was awful. There was crying, pouting, begging to stay home again today, because of course she couldn't tell the other Running Club kids in her class she couldn't go to Running Club because they would tell her if she was too sick to go to Running Club, she was too sick to be at school and tell her to go home. Then to top it all off, she went in and woke Eric up to tell on me for not letting her go to Running Club. As you can tell Running Club is very important to her.

Tomorrow I am going to help chaperon a field trip with Emma's class to ArtBreak. Jordan has some art on display there so I can kill two birds with one stone. Kinda excited about it. Hoping I remember my camera so I can post a pic of the artwork.

Alrighty I'm off for now.

Scaring Daddy

Ok so Emma has this toy little lizard, right? She sneaked up on Eric last week and set it on Eric's shoulder without him seeing her. Then she pointed it out and told him he had a lizard on his shoulder. He looked down and totally freaked out! He was pulling on his shirt yelling, "Get it off me! Get it off me!" The entire house was cracking up. Emma laughed so hard I thought she was gonna pee herself. We were having a BBQ at the time and it provided much entertainment to everyone.

So last night she did it again. She came in to hug him goodnight and set it on his shoulder, then left the room. She sent Jordan in to point it out this time. Jordan hugged him and said, "Um Daddy, there is something on your shoulder." The exact same reaction. A mass freakout! It was so funny. Jordan was laughing, I was laughing and from the bedroom I hear from Emma, "And Emma strikes again!!"

How do you not laugh at a 6'3" almost 300 lb man being scared of a lizard that is only 2 inches long??

Sibling Rivalry

Well, what an interesting weekend. My 6 yr old and 9 yr old are at an impasse. Emma, my 9 yr old, has asked to be grounded from Jordan, my 6 yr old. They share a room and Emma has informed us that she is moving to Canada. When I asked why she replies that she wants to be an only child because Jordan is annoying. Then to top it off Jordan asked me why I didn't just have one baby. When I answered her that if I had, it wouldn't be her because I had Emma first, she got a real puzzled look on her face. Her response, you ask? "Can I pick the movie tomorrow night?" I think I stumped her. LOL

I really wish I had a solution to the constant fighting between them. It really gets to me sometimes. I don't have enough bedrooms to separate them. I miss the days when they would play all day together with no fussing. Now its like there is a tattling contest between them to see who can tell on the other the most for the dumbest things. "Jordan wont listen to me", "Emma is making a mad face at me". I mean, really? It just never stops.

Well I must go ponder my situation some more. Be back tomorrow.

TGIF

I am so ready for the weekend. Planning a quiet, peaceful weekend. Well, as quiet and peaceful as you can get with 3 kids. Going to have pajama day on Saturday and do some housecleaning. Oh yay fun. Hubby and I also so raids on WoW (World of Warcraft) this weekend. (See I told you it would be mentioned LOL)

I am ready for school to be out for the summer. I spend most of the day in the van it seems. I need a break from the taxi driver job. I need a break from getting up at 6 am every weekday and Saturday. (Hubby goes to work early on Saturdays). But then again do I really want all 3 kids here all day with me? There goes my alone time. Gotta take my Alexandra job hunting for a summer job. Any suggestions for a fun place to work for a 16 yr old besides McDonalds?

Well its time to play taxi driver again. I will be back soon
